PerspectiveFacing North

Canica VSI Crushers purchased the 8.5 acres shown here from the Port in August 1992 and began operating its white iron foundry a year later. In December 1995, Canica changed its name to Impact Alloys Foundry and then sold the building and operation to Dallesport Foundry in January 1998. It continues to own and operate the facility (as of 2010). Dock Road runs along the bottom edge of the photograph while the 102 Parallel (aka American Grain Processors or Transload) Building sits just beyond the left edge. The Port's two northeasterly rail spurs can be seen running along the left edge of the photograph while the 102 Kreps (aka RAMCo or Dallesport Lumber) Building appears in the background along with the Port's water reservoir.
